Shakira’s Influence: Building a Foundation for Education in Colombia.

Shakira recently made time in her packed schedule to participate in the groundbreaking events for two new schools in Cartagena and Barranquilla, Colombia, as part of her El Dorado World Tour. These schools are being supported by the Barefoot Foundation (Pies Descalzos), a charitable organization founded by Shakira that currently runs three schools for underprivileged children, in collaboration with the Barca Foundation.

At the event, the 41-year-old artist joyfully left her hand and footprints in wet cement to mark the special occasion. With her flowing blonde locks swaying, Shakira couldn’t contain her laughter as she dipped her foot into the chilly cement. Clad in a fashionable pink blouse with delicate lace accents and blue jeans, the Deja Vu singer looked absolutely gorgeous. She happily took photos with the students present, who warmly welcomed her, while a large crowd waved and held up signs in her honor.
