Kate Hudson was recently interviewed by Byrdie for their After-Dark digital issue. During the interview, the actress shared that she feels like she’s in the “best pocket” of life now that she’s 43. She remarked that she now understands why her friends who were in their 40s would say, “This is my best. This is my favorite decade so far.” However, she did acknowledge that growing older has its own set of challenges.

Hudson expressed her view that aging can be difficult because it reminds us of our impermanence, and makes us question what we want out of life. She believes that men are just as concerned about aging as women, but are not asked the same questions about it. Rather, the focus on aging comes from external sources, which reflects societal programming. However, Hudson admits that she only thinks about aging when asked about it, as age has not had much impact on her life or career as an actress and Fabletics co-founder.

“I have a habit of taking risks without hesitation, which hasn’t always led me to the best outcomes. However, more often than not, it has set me on the right track,” she expressed. In the past, Hudson has emphasized being relaxed about aging and enjoying life to the fullest. During an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show in 2019, she stated that she was “having a blast.”
